Overview
Combat sports academies run on cash, WhatsApp and memory. Fees are paid in cash, often partially or late, and coaches track them in notebooks. Reminders are sent by hand, and there's no easy way to know how students are responding to training.
TAKE OVER built a management app for a boxing academy with more than 300 active students, a head coach and several assistant coaches. It's a Progressive Web App, so the coach can use it on a phone at the gym and on a desktop at home, with no app store download required. It was designed around how the academy actually works: cash stays normal, and the app does the tracking, reminding and following up.
The app was built for one academy first and designed so it can be rolled out to other academies.
What we built
Fee tracking
Monthly and 3-month plans, plus one-time registration and gear fees. Handles partial and late payments, which are common in cash-based academies.
Daily cash recording
The coach logs cash payments as they come in, keeping a clean, up-to-date ledger without forcing students onto payment links.
Automated WhatsApp fee reminders
Sent automatically 7 days and 2 days before each student's due date.
Structured workout feedback over WhatsApp
- A 1 to 5 session rating.
- Fixed questions on intensity, soreness and improvement.
- A free-text comment for anything else.
Flexible targeting
The coach can send feedback requests to every student or to hand-picked individuals.
Single student roster
All students are managed in one list, keeping the coach's workflow simple.
