Autonomous QA Agent Framework
An AI-driven testing framework that checks a web application the way a full QA team would: functionality, design, speed, security and accessibility.
Overview
Shipping fast usually means testing less, until a broken checkout, a layout bug or a slow page reaches customers. TAKE OVER's QA agent framework is our approach to automated, AI-assisted quality assurance for web applications.
The framework defines how an autonomous agent tests a site across eight areas, using Playwright for real-browser automation and TypeScript for reliability. It applies strict engineering standards: resilient, accessibility-first locators, defined performance budgets, pixel-level visual comparison, and automatic reporting inside the CI pipeline. Every release is checked against the same standard.
What we built
Eight testing domains
- Functional testing
- Visual / UI regression
- API & integration testing
- Authentication & access control
- Performance
- Accessibility (axe-core)
- Security
- Regression & CI reporting
Performance budgets enforced
LCP < 2.5s, FCP < 1.8s, CLS < 0.1, TTFB < 800ms, TTI < 3.5s, measured through the Chrome DevTools Protocol.
Visual regression
Screenshot comparison with a 2% pixel-difference threshold, with baselines version-controlled in Git.
Resilient, accessible locators
Role, label and test-ID selectors (no brittle XPath), so tests survive UI changes.
Rich reporting
Allure and HTML reports for every run.
CI integration
Runs automatically on GitHub Actions for every change.
Agent rules
A defined operating spec covering folder structure, commands, coding standards and agent behaviour, so the agent tests consistently and predictably.
